An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the organization’s financial health. The role involves tracking income and expenses, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate financial documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledgers.
Record daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy of accounting data.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
Conduct internal audits and support external audits.
Monitor company expenses and recommend cost-saving strategies.
Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Qualifications
BCOM , MCOM , any additional coursed preferred related to accountancy
